Mary (Munas) Slatniske, of Hamburg, NY., formerly of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed Tuesday October 27, 2015 at Elderwood at Hamburg, NY. She was born in Wheeling, WV on November 22, 1916, a daughter of the late Rudy and Barbara (Biscan) Munas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Michael Slatniske; a daughter Nancy Peckins and a sister Ann McLaughlin. Mary was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Mingo Junction, OH. Mary is survived by a daughter Barbara (Bruce) Gay of Hamburg, NY., grandchildren: Brad Gay; Belinda Roskwitalski: Kurt Peckins; Jennifer Hritz; and six great grandchildren. The family is being assisted by Blaschalk-Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Avenue, Mingo Junction, Ohio. Friends will be received Monday November 2, 2015 from 9:30 until time of Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Mingo Junction, with Fr. James Dunfee as celebrant.
