Mary A. (Downs) St. Clair, 79, of Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born October 22, 1930 in Bridgeport, OH a daughter of the late Thomas K. and Kathleen (Cannon) Downs. She was a retired bookkeeper for Boyd Press of Wheeling, WV. Mary was a member of the Martins Ferry Senior Center. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother John Downs. Surviving are her two daughters Fran (Joseph) Dalton of Martins Ferry, OH and Suanne (Michael) Vincent of Minneapolis, MN, two grandsons Adam (Hillarie) Shapaka of Dover, OH and Brady (Shanna) McKinley of Adena, OH, four great grandchildren Brady and Hanna McKinley and Carter and Meara Shapaka, a sister Betty Ann Rosta of Oregon, and a sister-in-law Shellie Downs of Zanesville, OH, Friends will be received Tuesday Noon until time of services at 1:00 pm with Rev. John Brandenburg officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. In lieu of flowers Mary requested memorial contributions to the Martins Ferry Senior Center, 14 N.
