Mary Jean Stanton 62, of Bridgeport, died Friday September 20, 2013 at Wheeling Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 28, 1950 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Steve and Theresa (Burns) Sofka. She was a retired employee of The Linsly School, and Wilson Funeral and Furniture Co. She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Aux. # 1891 Elm Grove. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Tim Stanton in 2004. Mary Jean is survived by her son Tim (Missy) Stanton II of Bridgeport, a grandson Timmy Stanton III, a sister Sandra K. Sayre of Wheeling, and a brother Michael S (Judith) Sofka of Wheeling, nephews Jay Sayre and Kevin Sofka, nieces Sarah, and Kelly Sofka, also a great niece and nephew Jonathon, and Breanna Sayre. Friends will be received at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Monday September 23, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am, entombment in Mt.
