Mary E. (Thomas) Deitch, 84, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at Autumn Health Care of Adena. She was born Feb. 27, 1928 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Charles D. and Opal M. (Loy) Thomas. She worked for the former Isaly's of Martins Ferry and also was a former nurses aide for East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Charles E. Fox, her second husband Raymond E. Deitch, two sons; Johnnie W. Fox and Charles E. Fox, Jr., three brothers; George, Ben, and Tom Thomas and three sisters; Francis Perry, Clara Thomas and Linda Sole. Surviving are a son, Andrew M. (Monica) Deitch of Harrisville, OH, two daughters; Mary F. Canter of Martins Ferry, OH, and Bonnie M. Papp of Kissimmee, FL, two daughters-in-law; Carol and Sandy Fox, thirteen grandchildren; Raymond Papp, Amanda Williams, Susan L. Canter Custer, Betty J. (David) Leek, Terry F. (Kara) Canter, II, Joshua M. Deitch, Sarah A. Deitch, Theresa (Steve) Meyers, Hope Parkinson, Billie Jo Fox, Louise (Don) Hall, Charlotte Polugh, and Stacey Fox, 28 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, from 11:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm where Pastor Jeff Benedict will officiate.
