Mary V. Norwood, 97, of Bridgeport, OH passed away July 21, 2016 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born May 8, 1919 in Boydsville, OH, a daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica (Cisczonik) Tempka. She was retired from Big Bear Department Store and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Bridgeport, OH and she was a member of Catholic Women's Club and Catholic Daughters of America. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Norwood and two brothers; Leo and Steve Tempka. Mary is survived by her children; Joseph (Eugenia) Norwood of Charlotte, N.C., Jerry (Diana) Norwood of Bridgeport, OH, and Mary Ann Kurz of Wheeling, WV; brother, John Tempka of Chicago; five granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received, Sunday July 24th from 5-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH with wake service at 5pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Bridgeport, OH at 10AM on Monday with Fr. John Mucha officiating.
