Mary Edna Hardy, 87, of Steubenville, OH, passed away December 16, 2020 at the Laurels of Steubenville.

She was born March 23, 1933, in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Lee and Ita (Martin) Wells.

Mary loved to cook.  She was a cook at the former Townhouse in Mingo.  She loved cooking perogies and nut rolls for family and friends.  She even made them for fundraisers at church.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde "Tony" Hardy; twin brother, Harry Wells; sisters, Eva Myers, Irene Pontenzini, Hazel Oxley, Wilma Canterbury; and son, Ronald Viers.

Mary is survived by her children, Mary Viers of Mingo Junction, OH, Donna Poole of Wintersville, OH Donald (Jeanette Foster) Viers of Rootstown, OH, Ida (John DiBacco) Viers of Steubenville, OH, David (Donna) Viers of Cadiz, OH, Cheryl (George)Brooks of Grove City, OH, thirteen grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Saturday, December 19th, from 12p.m. until time of service at 2p.m. at Blaschalk -Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Ave., Mingo Junction, OH 43938.  Funeral services at 2pm with Pastor John Jackson officiating.  Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction.
