C. Maxine (Whittington) Bondy, 91, of Seabrights Ln., Martins Ferry died Friday, November 22, 2013. She was born May 4, 1922 in Carbondale, WV a daughter of the late George F. and Cecil (Hornsby) Whittington. Maxine is a member of the First Baptist Church, Martins Ferry and volunteered for East Ohio Regional Hospital for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wilfard H. "Babe" Bondy and two sisters; Crystal Martin and Edith June Fahey. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Shirley Gray of Martins Ferry and two granddaughters; Nancy (Scott) Ellison of St. Clairsville and Judy Truchan of Mt. Pleasant, OH and six great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at 11:00 am at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH with Rev. Bob Romick officiating.
