Melba M. Belyk, 89, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Belmont Manor. She was born February 20, 1924 in Warnock, Ohio, daughter of the late Elwood A. Coe and Catherine K. Reid Coe.
She was a member of Bethesda Methodist Church and was a beautician for many years in Bethesda. Melba had a great love for her family, especially enjoying her great-grandchildren over the past several years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Belyk and five brothers, John, Joe, Don, Durr, and Leroy Coe.
Melba is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Joe) Smolira of Bethesda, Ohio; son, Gary (Autum) Belyk of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Joe Smolira of Nashville, Tennessee, Kurt (Melissa) Smolira of Bethesda, Ohio, Wade (Lori) Smolira of Flushing, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Kolby, Emy Jo, Ayden, Taylor; and sisters, Mary Agnes Bielanski of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Myrna Fields of Sykesville, Maryland.
Family and friends may visit, Saturday from 10 am until the time of service beginning at 11 am, Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Reverend Tom Detling and Reverend John Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
