Melvin Eugene Kendle, 84, of Dillonvale, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022, in his home. He was born on September 9, 1937, in Dover a son of the late Walter and Matilda (Jones) Kendle. Melvin retired from Consol, Franklin #125, was a member of the Mingo Sportsman Club and the UMWA Local 1360. He was also an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener.

He is survived by sons, Melvin (Annette) Kendle and David (Ellie) Kendle; daughters, Kimberly "Kimbo" Kiss and Robin (James) Coss; a brother, Ronny (Liz) Kendle; sisters, Drusilla "Jane" Teramana and Karen (Earl) Richardson; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Joyce (Flesher) Kendle; an infant daughter, Debbie Kendle; 3 brothers, Roger, Richard, and Kenny Kendle; and a sister, Gwen Moore.

Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the funeral home with Reverend John Kotsanos officiating. Burial will follow in New Alexandria Cemetery.
