Michael J. Bishop, Sr., 65, of Main St., Tiltonsville, OH, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. He was born Dec. 11, 1943 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late John Bishop, Sr. and Roberta (Fisher) Bishop. He was a former employee of the Pittsburgh International Airport, a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church of Wheeling, and a veteran of the U.S.Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Cody A. Bishop. Surviving are his wife Betty Ann ( Hosso) Bishop, two sons Michael Bishop, Jr. of Colerain, OH and Scott Bishop of Tiltonsville, a daughter Michelle Bishop of Yorkville, OH, three brothers David (Susan) Bishop of Cambridge, OH, John (Hanna) Bishop, Jr. of Clarksville, TN, and Alex (Nancy) Bishop of Warwood, WV, four sisters Toni (John) Cope of Woodbridge, VA, Jackie McLaughlin and Virginia Bishop both of Wheeling, and Catherine Bishop of Chillicothe, OH, and five grandchildren Dylan, Ethan, and Evan Cost of Yorkville, and Savana Bishop of Moundsville and Lilliana Bishop of Smithfield. Friends will be received Sunday 12-3 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at 11:00 am with Major John Blevins officiating.
