Michael Edward Goudy 68, of Columbus, formerly of Martins Ferry, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in his residence. He was born November 13, 1955, in Martins Ferry. Mike was a multisport standout at Martins Ferry High School. He lettered in four sports. Mike was inducted into the MFHS Sports Hall of Fame in 2019. Mike also loved to watch sports especially the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Mike retired in 2014 from a 31-year career as a field engineer for the State of Ohio and the Army Corp of Engineers.

Mike is survived by his wife Cynthia (Cochran) Goudy; mother-in-law, Rita Cochran; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Ken) Walton, Cathy (George) Kepreos; a niece; two nephews; two great-nieces; two great-nephews; and two god children.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David Goudy; maternal grandparents, Charles and Cora Davison; and his father-in-law, Elden Cochran.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 11 am to 1 pm with the funeral Service starting at 1 pm, in Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
