Michael "Mick" Kompier 58 of Barton died Thursday July 16, 2015 at his home. He was born December 7, 1956 in Wheeling, a son of the late Michael and Mary M. (Kuhar) Kompier. He was a former employee of Cardello's Lighting and Electrical Supply, and Wesco Distributing, Wheeling, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst, and a social member of the Barton Fire Dept. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Marlene Shell, and a nephew Howard Douglas Shell. Mike is survived by a sister Sylvia Kompier of North Royalton, Ohio, a nephew John Michael Shell, a niece Stacie (Chris) Reed, several great nieces and nephews and also his friend Phyllis A. Koval. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside, on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with wake service to be recited at 2 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst with Fr. John Mucha as celebrant, interment in St. Anthony Cemetery Blaine.
