Michael Gilson, Sr. 80 of Mingo Junction passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 29, 1941, in Steubenville, OH the son the late Thomas and Helen (Kelly) Gilson.

He was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Company – Steubenville Plant in the shipping department. Michael was a veteran of the United States Army and was an avid golfer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas "Butch" Gilson.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Leslie (Vadasz) Gilson, children; Michael (Shawn) Gilson, Jr., of Ellijay, GA and Eva Gilson of Weirton WV, grandchildren; Jake Michael (Masyn) Gilson and Anthony Michael Capaldi, siblings; Peggy Zapor, Sis Mitchell, Susan Delatore, Karen (Barry) Ranallo, and Jimmy Gilson.
