Mildred J. Trouten, 100, of Bridgeport, died Saturday October 12, 2019 at Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center Bridgeport. She was born June 24, 1919 in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late Mildred D. (Crider) Githens.

She was a Methodist by faith and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Lawrence "Buck" Trouten, a daughter Norma Jean Gibson, and two sisters Roberta Peterson and Darlene Githens.

Mildred is survived by her daughter Karen Slater of Wheeling, several grandchildren including Darrin DeWitt, and Vicki and Anthony Slater, also several great grandchildren including Alec and Bryce DeWitt, and Hanna and Connor Slater, also one great- great granddaughter Adriana.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Friday October 18, 2019 from 11 am till time of service at 1 pm with Rev. James Hoff officiating, interment in Riverview Cemetery Martins Ferry.
