Minnie (Allen) Konyha, 89, of Glenhurst Terrace, Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Sept. 11, 2004 at Sunset Health Care, Adena, OH. She was born Jan. 15, 1915 in Ohio a daughter of the late John Allen and Minnie (Wiley) Allen Reese. She was retired from the former Marx Toy Factory and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents Minnie was preceded in death by her step-father Edward Reese, her husband Leslie Konyha, a son Andrew J. Konyha, Sr., a grandson Leslie J. Konyha, and a great grandson Christopher Konyha, four brothers Able, Johnny, Harold, and Everret, and three sisters Mary Mackey, Bessie Meeker, and Violet Erbe. Surviving are two daughters Theresa Perez of Martins Ferry and Shirley Hertler and her husband Fred of Dillonvale, ten grandchildren Linda Friend, Alberta Brown, Frank Perez, Kathy Fletcher, Andy J. Konyha II, Dwayne Konyha, Lori Konyha, Shelly Hertler, Chrissy Hertler-Clouse, and Fred Hertler, fifteen great grandchildren: Heather Schuler, George A. and Christopher Stan, Jessica Perez, Andy J. Konyha, III, Frederick Hertler II, Melinda, Leslie Jo, Joey, Stacey, June Marie, Michael, John, Randy, and Eudonna Konyha, and six great great grandchildren: George J., Devon, and Caleb Stan, and A.J.IV, Casey, and Courtney Konyha. Friends will be received Sun. 7-9 PM and Mon. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tue., Sept. 14, 2004 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
