Muriel E. (Lott) Holmes, 62, of N. 8th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born July 3, 1947 in Martins Ferry the daughter of the late Samuel and Gladys (Smith) Lott. She was a member of the Yorkville United Methodist Church of Yorkville, OH. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon M. Holmes and a sister Barbara Norris. Surviving are her husband James A. Holmes, her son John R. Holmes of Mt. Pleasant, OH, a granddaughter Lindy M. Holmes, and a brother Dick (Barbara) Shenton of Sterling, VA. Members of the family will receive friends Sunday 12-3 and 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Burial follows in Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling, WV. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
