Myles O. Stanton, 73 of Brookside, died Friday February 21, 2014 at Belmont Acuity Hospital, Bellaire. He was born July 9, 1940 in Wheeling, a son of the late Michael J. and Kathryn M. (Rothermund) Stanton. He was a small business owner and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church Bridgeport, also the Bridgeport Eagles #995, and the Knight's of Columbus. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Michael and Tim Stanton. Myles is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Mary Ann (Cramer) Stanton, two sons Myles O. Stanton Jr. of Columbus, and Nick M. (Vicky) Stanton of Barton, two daughters Tamara Doud, and Debbie (Keith) Bloomfield both of Brookside, siblings Jerry Stanton of Wheeling, David Stanton of Martins Ferry, Thelma Polomik and Mark (Dahlia) Stanton both of Wolfhurst, nine grandchildren Brittany (Josh) Russell, Vanessa, and Nick Stanton II, Isaiah, Chloe, Lily, and Seth Doud, Vivian and Cole Bloomfield. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Wednesday February 26, 2014 from 5-8 pm. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church Bridgeport with F. John Mucha as celebrant.
