Obituary

W. Myron Gibbons, 76, of Ralston Ave., Martins Ferry, OH died Wed., July 26, 2006 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born Sept. 19, 1929 in Barton, OH a son of the late Paul S. and Hazel (Wheeler) Gibbons. Myron served as church organist for the First Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry. He also played for many other churches, weddings, and various musical events around the Ohio Valley for many years. Myron was an organ teacher and retired from C. A. House Music Co. after 33 years service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth (Lynn) Gibbons and a brother David Gibbons. Surviving are his wife of 43 years Evelyn (Coffield) Gibbons, three sons M. Richard (B J) Gibbons of Peoria, IL, Daniel L. (Diane) Gibbons of Columbus, OH, and Erick M. Gibbons of Martins Ferry, four daughters Lynda S. (Glen) Richardson of West Newton, PA, Myra L. (John) Trask of Troy, MI, Deanna (Jason) Miracle of Findlay, OH, and Holly (Kevin) Schoenherr of Tampa, FL, a brother Paul (Sarah) Gibbons of Zanesville, OH, twelve grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Friends will be received Thurs. 6-8 PM and Fri., 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joseph Sanders officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 306 Locust St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
