Myron E. O'Connell 89 of Rayland, died Saturday April 23, 2011 at Rosewood Manor Nursing Home Yorkville. He was born October 18, 1921 in Yorkville, a son of the Late William and Audrey Frye O'Connell. He was a retired car inspector for Conrail Railroad, a Methodist by faith and a member of McCook Post #529 American Legion Dillonvale, and the VFW Post 4811 Yorkville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Charles O'Connell. Myron is survived by his loving wife Blanche Schrickel O'Connell, two daughters Patty (Mike) McConn of Clarington, and Dorothy (Vince) Olenick of Dillonvale, a brother Clifford (Elsie) O'Connell of Baltimore, MD, four grandchildren Tricia (Aaron) Kuczmarski, Michelle (Rodney Blattler) McConn, Raeanne Olenick, and Heidi McConn, two great grandchildren Ayden and Harmanee Blattler. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second St. Dillonvale Tuesday April 26, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm, where services will held Wednesday at 11 am at the Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Holt officiating. Interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Full Military graveside services will be held by the McCook Post # 529 of the American Legion.
