Nancy Carol Briggs, 76, of Mount Pleasant, Ohio, passed Wednesday June 21, 2017 at Adena Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on June 15, 1941, a daughter of the late Howard and Bertha Wilson Atwood. She was also a member of Meadowbrook Church of God. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert Briggs and a brother William Atwood. Nancy is survived by her children: Robin (Eddy) Beranek of Dillonvale, Rhonda (Virgil) Lishick of Mount Pleasant and Ruth Ann Madison of Medina, OH, a brother Richard (Rhea) Atwood of Vanwort, OH, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. In keeping with Nancy's wishes there will be no visitation and she generously donated her body to The Ohio State University School of Medicine.
