Nancy Jane Grimes, 73, of Quaker City, Ohio, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center after a recent hospitalization. She was the daughter of the late John W. Thomas and Helen M. Thomas of Barnesville, Ohio.
Nancy was a retiree from Ametek/March Electric of Cambridge, Ohio, having served 36 years of employment. She loved her porch filled with flowers in the big city of Fairview, but was most proud of her children and grandchildren.
Nancy's husband, Dave of 54 years together, who was the love of her life, preceded her in death. In addition to her husband, Nancy was preceded in death by father and mother-in-law, Charles and Wilma Grimes of Fairview, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Shirley Miller of Quaker City, Ohio, Sharlene Grimes of Old Washington, Ohio; brothers-in-law, John Grimes of Byesville, Raymond Watson and Roger White both of Akron, Ohio, Virgil Miller of Quaker City, Ohio and Randy Wolffe of Florida.
She is survived by her son, Mike (Becky) Grimes of Salesville, Ohio; daughters, Dianna (Danny Baldwin) Stein of Old Washington, Ohio, Julie McEndree of Quaker City, Ohio; granddaughters, Meghan (Chris) Knellinger, Molly (Cale Johnson) Grimes, Lauren (Adam) Rodriguez of Mesa, Arizona, Emily (Cory Toland) McEndree, and Maddy McEndree; great-grandchildren, Zane Knellinger, Hannah and Emma Rodriguez; sisters-in-law, Arlene Watson and Sherry White both of Akron, Ohio, Vicky (Rick) Schnacke and Carrie Grimes of Marietta, Georgia, Linda Wolffe of Boca Raton, Florida; brothers-in-law, Gary (Beverly) Grimes of Senecaville, Ohio, Stanley Grimes of Old Washington, Ohio, Kenny Grimes of Fairview, Ohio, Steve Grimes of Westerville, Ohio; special cousin, Becky Thomas of Barnesville, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be welcome to visit, Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio, where the service for Nancy will be conducted, Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh will be officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Ohio.
