Nancy E. Wood, 69, of Blacklick, OH, died Sat., 10, 2005 at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 29, 1936 im Martins Ferry, OH the daughter of the late Ray and Clara (Yoho) McFarland. She retired form Ohio Bell after 38 ½ years of service. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry and the Telephone Pioneers. Survivors include her loving husband of 20 years, Donald Wood of Blacklick; sister Deanna (John) Shiben of Wheeling, WV; step-son Todd (Laversa) Wood of Athens, OH and granddaughter Zoe Wood. A visitation will be held Tues., Sept. 13, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Rd., North , Pickerington, OH. Friends will then be received Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005 from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH.
