Nancy Jane Taylor, 93, of Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Belmont Manor. She was born on August 7, 1930, in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Ferrell) Scammell. Nancy was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church, Kirkwood, Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority, and the Order of the Eastern Star. She retired from Belmont National Bank as a Vice President, and later retired from the Citizens National Bank. Nancy also enjoyed gardening and dancing.

She is survived by a son, Charles (Debbie) Taylor; a daughter, Connie (Craig) Futey; four grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa) Alexander, Nathan (Julie) Alexander, Eric (Lindsey) Taylor and Chad (Ashley) Taylor; and eleven great grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Taylor in 2001; and a sister, Dorothy Stidd.

Friends may call Monday, July 15, 2024, from 4-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am in the funeral home, with Reverend David Demerest officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
