Nellie M. (Jackson) Godwin, 70, of Orchard Terrace, St. Clairsville, OH, formerly of Governor Dr., Bellaire died Sat., Dec. 11, 2004 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. She was born Feb. 12, 1934 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late E. Marie (Fisher) Jackson. She was retired from the former C & P Telephone Co. of Wheeling and a member of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry, and the St. Clairsville Senior Center. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Godwin, two brothers, Walker C. and C. Damon Jackson, a sister, Theresa Byers and a special aunt, Caroline Dugmore. Surviving are a son, William H. Godwin and his wife, Teresa A. of St. Clairsville, a daughter Robin Moore of Milford, MI, a sister Elsie J. Watkins of Colo. and two grandsons Christopher and Zachary Garloch. Friends will be received Mon. 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tues., Dec. 14, 2004 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joseph Sanders officiating. Internment will be at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
