Nellie B. Phillips, 91, of Barnesville, Ohio, departed for heaven on October 20, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born October 16, 1922 in Lamira, Ohio, daughter of the late Erastus F.H. Wright and L. Belle Showalter Wright. She was a member of First Christian Church. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, and baking. She served her entire family dinner every Sunday for more than 40 years, affectionately showing her deep love. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert M. Phillips in 2007; infant son, Donald Ray Phillips; sisters, Ruth Hudson, Mary Delaney; and brother, Glenn Wright. Nellie is survived by daughters, De Dee Headly of Florida, Karen (Darrell) Long of Quaker City, Ohio, Jana (Mike) Crawford of Speidel, Ohio, and Karla (Mark) Mueller of Belmont, Ohio; sons, Dennis (Cyndi) Phillips, Darrell (Denise) Phillips all of Barnesville, Ohio; grandchildren, Bill (Leisha) Smith, Amy (David) Hartsock, Darren (Sherry) Long, Devonee (Toby) Patrick, Destinee (Nick Logan) Long, Jonell (Zachary Tolzda) Mueller, Terry Akers, Christopher and Colby Crawford, Megan and Aaron Phillips, Shane and Ashley Hughes; eight great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Helen (John) Schlosser, Madeline Shivers; brother-in-law, David Phillips; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit, Tuesday from 2 to 8 pm, Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio where the service will be conducted, Wednesday 11 am. Pastor Bob Merritt and Pastor Edward Eberhart will officiate. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
