SMITH, Nellie Mae (Russell), 82, of Tiltonsville, Ohio, died Friday March 5, 2010 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. She was born in Warrenton, Va., on July 13, 1927, a daughter of the late James T. and Cordie Victoria Booker Russell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands: Forest Carter and Noble Smith; a grandson Adam Carter, brothers: George, Jimmy, Paul and David Russell; and a sister Mary Simmons. Nellie is survived by a son, Forest Carter of Adamsville, Ohio; two daughters: Lois Horstman of Tiltonsville and Kathy Hilliard of Yorkville; two sisters: Ethel Shifflett of Warrenton, Va., and Viola Taylor of Manassas, Va.; two brothers: William e. Russell of Calif., and Leonard Russell of Alexandria, Va.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday March 8, 2010 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main Street, Tiltonsville, Ohio where services will be held at 7:00 p.m. with pastor James Monogioudis officiating.
