Nick Steve Glavaris, age 80, passed away July 28, 2026 at Wheeling Hospital after battling health issues over the last 2 years. Born on July 28, 1946, to Steve and Anne (Prezkop) Glavaris. Nick graduated from St. John Central High School in 1964. He attended the College of Steubenville prior to enlisting in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam.

Nick lived his entire life in the Valley. After the military he worked for Dieckmann’s, R.E.M. and Northwood Health Systems with compassion for all the clients he served. He was an avid sports fan with a passion for Cleveland teams and the University of Notre Dame.

Nick is survived by his sister, Bonnie (James F.) Bratton, nephew James S. (Sue) Bratton, niece Kristi (Rick) Buecker, along with great nieces and nephews.

Anyone who knew Nick knew his kindness and generosity. The family will hold a private burial service at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Wilson Funeral-Heslop chapel 415 Walnut St. Martins Ferry Ohio assisting the family.
