Nickolas Kurko, 75, of Rayland, OH died Monday, February 27, 2017 at Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV. He was born Sept. 28, 1941 in Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late Michael Kurko, Sr. and Gertrude A. (Romel) Kurko. He was retired from Conrail, a member of the Polish National Alliance and a veteran of the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. (Moore) Kurko, brother, Michael Kurko, Jr. and sister, Joann Bess. Surviving are his sons, Nick (Brenda) Kurko, Jr. of Martins Ferry and Thomas Kurko of Mt. Pleasant, OH, brother, Sam (Barbara) Kurko of Elkview, WV, sisters, Patty Kelly of Glenn Robins, OH, Shirley Kurko and Connie Kurko both of Martins Ferry, grandson, Nickolas Kurko, III and sister-in-law, Emily Kurko. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Liza's Place, 308 Mt. St. Joseph Rd., Wheeling, WV 26003.
