It is with great sadness that the family of Nina Lee Barr, 96, born in Martins Ferry, OH on November 7, 1921, announces her passing peacefully at Signature Health Care, Chillicothe, OH on May 27, 2018.

She was a daughter of Vesta and William Theil. She was the wife of Earl Robert Barr. She was a mother to Robert Wade (Debbie) Barr, David Russell (Cheryl) Barr and Thomas Lee (Mary Jo) Barr. She was a grandmother to grandsons, Matt Barr, Jason (Gina) Barr, granddaughters, Cherie (Mike) Dellinger, Alison Barr, Heather (Jason) Warfield, Neely (Gene) Barr, Samantha (Nate) Snyder. She was a sister to William (Helen) Theil and Mary Louise (Bill) O'Malley, she was a great grandmother to 5 great grandsons and 6 great-granddaughters and great-granddaughter number 12 due in June.

Nina was a lover of life, family and friends. She hosted wonderful family holiday feasts that the family grew accustomed to. Her favorite pastime was reading and knitting. If she knew you, you had a knitted hat.

A celebration of Nina's life will be held at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Friday, June 1, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. William O. Webster officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
