Norma Gleaves Millard, 87, passed away peacefully Thursday morning (12/26/13) in her home. A lifelong resident of Bridgeport, Norma was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all those who knew her from church and school functions as well as her work as the Executive Secretary for the Bridgeport School District. She was preceded in death by: her parents (Willard and Hazel Gleaves); her brother (Harold Gleaves); sister (Alice Gleaves Greiner); and son-in-law Bob Brock, whom we trust greeted her so warmly into eternity. She leaves the following family members to miss her sweet smile, sense of humor and her unshakeable love: her devoted husband of 67 years Lee Millard (of the home); her daughter Wendy K. Brock (Grove City); her son Brian and daughter-in-law Terry Millard (Canal Fulton); grandchildren Ray Brock (Grove City); Nathan, Michael and Hannah Millard (Canal Fulton); and great- grand daughter Annabelle Jean Brock. Her refusal to believe anything but the best in us helped each of us to believe in ourselves.Our grief is softened by the knowledge of her faith in Christ and that she is now with Him face-to-face, healthy, strong and no doubt reminding Him of the things He needs to do for us. Her fervent, effectual prayers have carried us through many challenges and helped bring so many blessings. Thanks for showing us what unconditional love and selfless giving looks like on this side of Heaven until we meet you there. As she requested, a private service was held at Wilson Funeral Home for immediate family members only on Monday, December 30th. Those wishing to leave our family condolences may do so on this website.
