Norman R. Norris, 78, of E. Sharon Rd., Colerain, OH died Saturday, Mar. 13, 2010 at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville, OH. He was born Feb. 20, 1932 in Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late Lincoln Norris and Lima (Bess) Norris Mehollin. He was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Martins Ferry Plant. Norman was a member of the Colerain Presbyterian Church, Colerain, OH, and past president of the Ohio Valley Motorcycle Club. He was also a veteran of the U. S. Navy, Korea. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara A. (Shenton) Norris, step-father Charles Mehollin, and a brother Lincoln Norris, Jr. Surviving are a son Randall Norris of Colerain, four daughters Norma (William) Graff and Becky (David, Jr.) Horne all of Martins Ferry, Susan (Robert) Lavy of Springfield, VA, and Pamela (Harold) Grimes of Bloomington, IN, a brother Ron Mehollin, and a sister Shirley Stone both of Rayland, OH, five grandchildren Lucas DuJardin, Zachary and Meghan Grimes, and Shiloh and Jeremy Norris, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wednesday, Mar. 17, 2010 at 11:00 am with the Rev. John Brown officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Full military services will be conducted at the funeral home by the Belmont County Council of the V.F.W prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Colerain Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 96, Colerain, OH 43916 or the Colerain Fire Department, P.O. Box 3 Colerain, OH.
