PESHEK, Norton Gene, 81, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Thursday October 23, 2008 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W.Va. He was born in Dillonvale on August 24, 1927, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Martinek Peshek. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Howard Peshek and a sister, Evelyn Azallion. Norton was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. and a member of the USW of America; a member of the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post #529 and a U.S. Army WWII Veteran. Norton is survived by a son, David Peshek and his wife Jolynn of Dillonvale; a stepson, Robert Boyle of Dillonvale and a sister, Velma McFarland of Wintersville, Ohio; two grandchildren: David Joel Peshek and Joclyn Jean Peshek; four step-grandchildren: Tracy, Jerry, Heather and Damon. Friends will be received Sunday from 5 - 8 p.m. and also Monday October 27, 2008 from 10:00 until the time of service at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. James Ogden, officiating, at the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, with military honors provided by Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post#529.
