Nova J. Keenan, 77, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at her home under the care of Valley Hospice.

She was born July 11, 1943 in Martins Ferry, OH, the daughter of the late Aldice Irwin and Eleanor Irwin Barr. In addition to her parents, Nova was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Aldice Irwin.

Nova is survived by her husband of 56 years, Roger Roy Keenan, her daughter, Michele (Winfred) Elerick, her son, David (Jacki) Keenan, all of St. Clairsville, OH, and her grandchildren: Daniel (Ruby) Elerick, Madison Keenan, Nathan Keenan and Caleb Keenan.

Nova was a graduate of Ruth Brant School of Nursing. She was a retired RN from ABC Home Health Services, Inc. where she served as clinical supervisor. Nova also served as an RN for Valley Hospice, EORH/OVMC Home Health, City of Martins Ferry Hospital Home Health and City of Martins Ferry Health Dept. Visiting Nursing.

Nova was a Lutheran by faith and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry. There she lovingly ran the Amazing Grace Day Camp for a number of years. She also served as a Sunday School Supervisor. Nova later joined Christ the King Lutheran Church in St. Clairsville, OH where she was a member of the Tuesday Morning Prayer Circle. She also volunteered for Faith in Action for a number of years.

Family and friends will be received Monday, November 2, 2020 at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH from 11:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Nancy DeStefano officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
