Anna Patricia (Wilson) Porter, 93 of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born March 5, 1931, in Dallas WV, the daughter of the late Luther J. and Anna I. (Toland) Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Duane Wilson, a sister Catherine Wallace, and two nephews Dennis and Mark Wilson.
She is survived by her daughter Cheryl (David) Bruney of Martins Ferry, Jay (Georgie) Porter of Mechanicsville, VA, Barbara Porter and Linda (Tom) Myers, both of Wheeling. Also, a brother Robert (Helen) Wilson of West Alexander, PA, and a sister Mary Ellen Bohon of Okland, MD.
Grandchildren Zac and Amber, Ashley and Luke, Trevor and Christina, Tyler, Trey and Ariel, Bryan and Melany, Karen and Scott. Great-grandchildren, Kolt, Kase, Tyce, Quinn, Decker, Zara, Maxie, Leni, Tori, Bryn, Adyn and Lakyn. Several nieces and nephews, and a very dear cousin Grace Ann Mozingo of Charleston, WV.
Pat worked for 33 years at Wheeling Hospital in the Central Service Department, retiring in 2015 at the age of 84. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport, where she taught Sunday school for several years. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society. Pat loved traveling with family and friends, never missing an opportunity to see the world.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 3-8pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11am at the Funeral Home with Rev. James Hoff officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at the Dallas Cemetery in Dallas, WV.
Memorial donations in Pat's honor may be given to The Ohio State University, Division of Anatomy Body Donor Program, 279 Hamilton Hall, 1645 Neil Ave, Columbus, OH 43210 or Senior Services of Belmont County, 67650 Oakview Dr., St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
