Patricia "Jean" (Leach) Holzopfel, 89 of Martins Ferry passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at Wheeling Hospital. She was born August 29, 1933, the daughter of the late William Henry and Mary Catherine (Callahan) Leach.

She was a devout member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Martins Ferry, proud graduate of Martins Ferry High School and a homemaker. Jean's greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter in law, Jane Ann Holzopfel, granddaughter, Natalie and her siblings, David, William and Al Leach, Katherine Marquardt, and Anna Belle Schuster.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 70 years, Ronald G. Holzopfel, children, Ronald W. (Cindi) Holzopfel, David (Julie) Holzopfel, Darla (Joe) LaRosa, grandchildren, Nathan (Sarah) Holzopfel, Seth (Shannan) Holzopfel, Emily Holzopfel, Vincent and Vittoria LaRosa, great-grandchildren, Makena, MaKayla and MaKenzie as well as many nieces and nephews complete the family.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 4-8 at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut Street, Martins Ferry, OH 43935. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 31, 2023, at 12 noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Fr. Thomas Marut officiating. Burial to follow at Holly Memorial Garden Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove.
