Patricia R. (Meddings) Truax, 94 of Lordstown, Ohio formerly of Martins Ferry passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023.  She was born August 14, 1929, the daughter of the late Lee V. and Carolyn (Vanek) Meddings in Shadyside, Ohio.

Patricia was a retired Register Nurse at the former Martins Ferry Hospital, and a Presbyterian by faith.  She was a woman of many talents, and loved to crochet, however her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Truax, sons, David Bruce Truax, and Thomas L. Truax, daughter, Carolyn "Vicki" Truax, siblings, Eloise Lappert, Rosemary Elson, Sonny Meddings, David Meddings, and Carol Shuhardt.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Paul J. (Lisa) Truax, of Martins Ferry and Teresa (Richard) Schanz of Lordstown, Ohio, brother, Thomas Meddings of Montana, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren complete the family.

Family and friends will be received Friday, September 8, 2023, from 4-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935.  Funeral service will be Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 11AM at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Ellis officiating, burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
