Paul Canter, 70, of Martins Ferry, OH died November 3, 2017 at EORH. He was born February 1, 1947, in Martins Ferry, OH, a son of the late W. Robert "Bob" and Maggie (Applegarth) Canter. He was a retired police officer for the Martins Ferry police department where he also served as police chief. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol Fernihough Canter; children, John (Jodie) Canter of Martins Ferry, Shauna (John) Bodkin of Martins Ferry, Sara Canter of Martins Ferry, Michael (Tina) Green of Martins Ferry; siblings, Michael "Mick" (Kelly) Canter of Akron, OH Margie (Donnie) Armbruster of Heath, OH; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
