Paul John Houston, 73, of Bethesda, Ohio, died August 10, 2016 at Liza's Place. Born April 8, 1943 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert L. Houston and Anna K. Mitchell Houston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert L. Houston, Jr. Paul is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mae Houston and son, Chad R. Houston both of Bethesda, Ohio; grandchildren, Matthew and Zachary Houston; sister, Nancy K. (Jim) Fields of North Carolina; and brother, Tim (Jackie) Houston of Colerain, Ohio. An avid outdoorsman, Paul loved fishing and hunting. He was a history buff, banjo picker, amateur archeologist, and archery instructor. Paul's family will receive guests, Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 7 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Chad Houston and Tim Houston officiating. Military Honors will be conducted at 6:45 by the Belmont County Veterans' Association. Honoring Paul's wish, interment will take place at the convenience of his family. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions please be made to Paul's family.
