Paula Augusta Hersey, 67 of Martins Ferry passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Wheeling Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 13, 1954, in Elizabeth PA. She is the daughter of the late James and Martha (Freeland) Griffith.

She was retired from Teletech of Moundsville. Paula was a member of the Relevant Worship Center in St. Clairsville, member of the Walking Club of Martins Ferry, Senior Center, Bible Study of the Valley, and Needle Pointing Crafts Club for five plus years. Paula loved Giraffes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Hersey in 2000, brother; Tom Griffith.

Paula is survived by her children Dawn (Bob) Kinney of Raleigh, NC, Crystal (Tim) Moore of Martins Ferry, Eric (Lauren) Hersey of Wheeling and Todd (Abby) Hersey of Columbus, grandchildren; Derrick, Abby, Devon, Janie, Timmy, Sean, Shane, Rebecca, Ella, Lilly, Hunter, Lainee, and Miles, great-grandchildren; Ethan and Arthur, brothers; Sam Griffith of Oregon and Jeff A. Griffith of Chicago, her buddies; Lady, Linus and Tink complete her family.

Friends will be received Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be Friday, March 4, 2022, at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Zelewicz officiating. Interment to follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Martins Ferry.
