Obituary

Paula H. Armstrong 87 of Martins Ferry passed away Sunday April 25, 2021 at Liza's Place Wheeling. She was born January 28, 1934 in Summit Station, PA, a daughter of the late John and Anne (Fitzek) Riba. She was the founder and operator of Armstrong Catering and Shannon Place. Paula was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church Colerain, and the CWC of the Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas T. Armstrong in 2011, a granddaughter Shannon Berhalter Guiney, sisters Emma Grelles, and Helen Gossett. Paula is survived by her children Vickie Berhalter of Martins Ferry, Rebecca (Ben) McMullen of Myersville, MD, and Thomas (Pam) Armstrong of Richmond, VA, her siblings Frank (Ann) Riba, Betty (Ray) Toone, Mary Hadzima, Dorothy (Wayne) Schrader, and Sherian Banco grandchildren Chris (Vanessa) Berhalter, Josh (Riley) McMullen, Logan McMullen, Jessie McMullen, Seth McMullen, and Cole Armstrong, great grandchildren, Nicholas, Abigail, and Nathan Berhalter, Thomas McMullen, and Sean Guiney, also many very special nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Friday April 30, 2021 from 5-8 pm. Where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst with Fr. John Mucha as celebrant, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove.
