Paula Sue (Wisvari) Wiater, 73, of Lansing, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, in Wheeling Hospital. She was born on June 1, 1951, in Bellaire, a daughter of the late Charles and Ann (Cintula) Wisvari. Paula was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's Club. She worked as a Respiratory Therapist for over 40 years at Bellaire Hospital and retired from Wheeling Hospital. She also enjoyed being creative through her crafting.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard Wiater; a daughter, Jenny (Sean) Kubic; a sister-in-law, Nancy Wisvari; two nephews, Joseph (Teresa) Wisvari and Thomas (Susi) Wisvari; and several great nieces and nephews.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles Wisvari; and a niece, Susan Wisvari-Weir.

Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Friday at 10 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 68210 Neola Ave, Bridgeport, with Father John Mucha officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
