Pauline (Visnic) Slaughter, 93, formerly of Pearl St., Martins Ferry, OH died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010 at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital of Wheeling, WV. She was born Jan. 5, 1917 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Eli and Ilinka (Perich) Visnic. She retired from the former Scott Lumber Company. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James R. Slaughter, two sisters Bertha Griffiths and Mary Patton. Surviving are a niece Polly (Fred) Packer of Newburgh, IN; great nephews Adam (Caryn) Packer of Indianapolis, IN and Andrew (Roxanne) Packer of Homewood, IL; and a great niece Emily (Greg) Packer Dorgan of Round Lake, IL. Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating.
