NEWELL, Pearl Elizabeth Rutowicz, 90, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Friday November 11, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. She was born in Dillonvale on April 16, 1921, a daughter of the late John and Stella Rusiecki Rutowicz. Pearl was a member of PNA of Martins Ferry; loved to talk about "old times," playing bingo and watching the cooking channel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wilber William Newell; a step-daughter Doris Laughlin, and a long time friend Henry Longevitch. Pearl is survived by her son, John Newell Sr. and his wife Alice of Dillonvale, a step-daughter Jean Mastrocco and her husband Joe of Latrobe, PA., four grandchildren: April (Jason) Meyer, John D. (Jennifer) Newell Jr., Krysta Sanders, Tony (Anita) Mastrocco; and four great-grandchildren: Noah Meyer, John D. Newell III, Cortney Kavanagh, and Brock Sanders. Friends will be received Monday November 14, 2011, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, with Msgr. John C. Kolesar, officiating.
