Pete Ivan Pete Ivan, 65 of Martins Ferry, OH died Wed. Feb. 19, 2003 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born May 26, 1937 in Mona, WV a son of the late Nicholas and Catherine Kish Ivan. He was retired from the Martins Ferry Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Pete was a member of the First U. Methodist Church, American Legion Post #38, and Eagles Aerie #456 all of Martins Ferry, and a veteran of the US Air Force. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Nicholas Ivan, Jr. and a sister Terry Powell. Surviving are his wife Judy Linton Ivan, three sons Dave (Colleen) Ivan of Lansing, Donnie (Jennifer) Ivan of Austin, TX, and John (Rhonda) Ivan of Pickerington, a brother Steve (Lillian) Ivan of Tucson, AZ, three sisters Elizabeth Turner of VA, Irene Ivan and Mary (Gilbert) Russ all of Martins Ferry, and five grandchildren including Dakota, Samantha, Jordan, Chloe, and Parker Ivan. Friends will be received Friday 2-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Sat., Feb. 22, 2003 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Van D. Fisher officiating. Burial follows with full military graveside honors by the Belmont Co. Council of the American Legion in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to the First U.
