Peter V. Bernardi, 69, of Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 at the home of his nephew. He was born Sept. 2, 1945 in McKeesport, PA a son of the late Richard and Anna (Purpura) Bernardi. He was a substitute History Teacher for many years. Peter was a member of the First Baptist Church, Martins Ferry and the Martins Ferry Senior Citizens. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Surviving are his sister Rose (Nick) Gramatikos of Reynoldsburg, OH, nephews; Nick Gramatikos, Jr of Reynoldsburg and Daniel Gramatikos of Martins Ferry, niece, Anita (Bill) Gongola of Pickington, OH, great nephew, Wesley Gongola and great niece, Alexandra Gramatikos. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Larry Lewis officiating.
