Philip Widmor, 88, of Blaine, Ohio died suddenly at his home Sunday September 5, 2010. He was born on November 30, 1921 in Blaine, a son of the late Joseph and Rose Rutar Widmor. Phil was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Blaine, and a self-employed coal operator. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Gary Widmor, his brothers Frank, Rudy and William, his sisters Christine Brinkmeir, Mary Karkula, and Rose Mihelcic. Surviving are his wife of 63 years Pauline Kelly Widmor, a daughter Phillis Widmor and her husband Richard Martinkosky of Wheeling, a son Phillip Jr. of St. Clairsville, a sister Ann Hess, three grandsons Phillip III, Nicholas, and Bryan Widmor, and several grandchildren. Philip was a gentle and loving father and a lover of animals. He leaves behind his dog Max, and his cat. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8, where services will be held Thursday at 11 am with Rev.
