Phillip "Pete" Piatt, 69, of Belmont, Ohio died Monday, May 20, 2013 at Wheeling hospital. He was born October 27, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland, son of the late Franklin H. Piatt and Virginia M. Spurrier. Pete was a retired tree trimmer from KK Tree and past president of the Barnesville Eagles. He enjoyed playing poker, In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Phyllis Rutter. Pete is survived by daughters, Martha, Christine, and Robin; sons, Robert, Andy, and Jason; sisters, Madelyn (Raymond) Mann of Belmont, Ohio and Barbara McMillan of Weirton, West Virginia; brother, Franklin (Barbara) Piatt of Steubenville, Ohio; grandson, Zachery Winland; special friends, Harlan "Moochy" Barrett, Kenny Mobley, Buddy Boles, and Joyce Sharpe. Family and friends are welcome to visit, Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio where the service will be conducted, Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Rodney West will be officiating. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
