Philomena (Puperi) Zanke, 91, of Monroeville, PA formerly of Wheeling, WV, and Martins Ferry, OH died Thursday, Apr. 22, 2010 at Woodhaven Nursing Home, Monroeville, PA. She was born July 17, 1918 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Cassel) Puperi. She retired from the garment industry and was a member of North American Martyrs Catholic Church of Monroeville, PA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dominic Zanke, a brother Ambrose Puperi, and two sisters Virginia Puperi and Perina Johnson. Surviving are her son Bob (Anita) Zanke of Export, PA, two brothers Albert Puperi of CA, and James Puperi of Martins Ferry, and a sister Mary (Conrad) Fowler of Canton, OH. Friends will be received Monday, April 26, 2010 from 10:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating.
