Phyllis Lee Kurtz, 85, of Tiltonsville, Ohio, passed peacefully at UPMC Trinity in Steubenville, Ohio, on Friday October 16, 2026.

Born November 11, 1940, in Holyoke, Massachusetts to the late Frederick Vaillancourt and Laurette (LeBeaux) Vaillancourt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred Kurtz and their son, Sheldon Kurtz.

Phyllis lived her life as a homemaker and could always be found watching her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians. She was a proud member of the American Legion in Dillonvale, a Past President and Life Member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 4811 in Yorkville and member of the Dillonvale Eagles.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters Lorraine Dallas, Nadine (Barry Horton) Kurtz, stepdaughter Lori (Tommy) Brown and grandson, Thomas Brown; siblings Leonard (Diane) Vaillancourt and Freddy Vaillancourt.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 5pm in the Yorkville VFW, all are welcome. Wilson Funeral Home 102 Main Street Tiltonsville, Ohio assisting the family.
