Obituary

R. Thomas "Tom" Zani 75, of Bridgeport died Monday March 14, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 8, 1940 in Wheeling, a son of the late Ralph and Lenora B. (Bayles) Zani. He was a retired employee of Winsor Coal Co. and an Active Barber with Weaver's barber shop Brookside holding a license in Ohio and West Virginia. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst, an Army Veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Anthony's Council #2262, the Lansing Sportsman Club, and various other Community Organizations. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Donald Zani. Tom is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years Lucille (Pramik) Zani, son Thomas E. (Natasha A. Plumly) Zani, and daughter Carolyn (Glenn) Vasey both of St. Clairsville, two grandchildren Laraine Skorich, and Katerina Zani, a sister Kathy (Abbey) Maroon of St. Clairsville, and a sister Bernadine Raicevich of Willoughby Hills, OH, a sister-in-law Pat Zani of St. Clairsville. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Friday March 18, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, wake service will be recited at 2 pm Friday at the Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst, with Fr. John Mucha as celebrant.
